Week 6 at Harvest of Joy Farm LLC

Weather forecast: mid-70s, partly sunny

Sorry for the late post, folks! We're in full-steam ahead mode here, trying to catch up with our backlog of planting. Over the past couple of days we've seeded salad mix, three kinds of turnips, red beets, yellow beets, carrots, snow peas, radishes, scallions, cilantro, dill, braising mix and probably some other things that I'm forgetting about right now.

This week we'll be heading over to John's property to plant potatoes, build an electric fence, and make a trellis for the snow peas. If we get done there, we might move to quack grass control behind the house and/or soil blocking our vine crops, such as cucumbers, melons, and summer squash.

I hope to get the planting photos from last week posted soon, but in the meantime, here's the Week 5 photo of our tomato experiment. The pot on the left is the one on the outer windowsill, the middle one is the one along the back wall of the porch, and the one on the right is the one under the grow light.
